Organisation Function Greenhills Playgroup is a not for profit group established
in 1986. Ten Playgroups are held weekly during school terms, The organisation
is run by a committee of volunteer parents who attend the playgroups.
Greenhills Playgroup provides a place for learning through play and also offers
a supportive environment for parents.
The Role Volunteer to support parents during playgroup session once
per week (2 hours). Also to co-ordinate "special event week" once per
school term for 10 playgroups held during that week. Time requirement for
special events week is approx 10-11 hours. Special events are for Easter,
Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day and Christmas. Volunteer to help with organisation
and activities during these weeks.
PROFILE: The Volunteer needs to love being around children
and be interested in providing support to parents. Volunteer needs to be
reliable, enthusiastic and have good organisational skills. Craft or music
skills would be helpful but not essential.
AGE : 18+ COMMITMENT: 2 hours per week and 10-11 hours weekly four
times per year for special events RECRUITMENT PROCESS: Initial interview to discuss the role
with Committee member. TRAINING AND SUPPORT: On the job training and ongoing
training and support from the Committee POLICE CHECK: Check: Yes and paid for by the organisation. WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK: Yes
