Greenhills Playgroup Inc has been
established and been an active member of Playgroup Victoria since 1986.We are a not for profit playgroup, run by a
committee of volunteer mum's who children all attend various sessions at the
Greenhills Playgroup.We aim to provide
a relaxed, clean, safe and friendly environment where parents and their
children from the local area can have the chance to meet other parents and
children.
Our families come from all areas of
Banyule, Nillumbik and WhittleseaMunicipalities. We pride
ourselves on not only being a support to our playgroup members but offer
support to our community also.Throughout the years our playgroup has hosted many Infant & Child
First Aid Information Nights as well as Toilet Training nights.Our nights have proven to be a huge success
and have provided valuable information to those who attended.These nights plus our large and spacious
facilities, outdoor playground and well equipped storeroom set us apart from
most other playgroups.
In April 2010, we
opened a second venue at Beales
Road, Greensborough to accommodate Mothers Groups
with babies under 12mths of age.It is
hoped that this venue can provide a temporary place for mothers group's to meet
in the months after their departure from their maternal child health centre.
This will help ease the burden of meeting in homes, coffee shops and parks and
help to ensure that they continue to meet on a weekly basis.These reasons and more all contribute to the
Greenhills Playgroup being the largest playgroup in Greensborough.With this we are able to offer a large
variety of sessions (2 sessions held daily) which can help to accommodate
mothers with children of any age.
We ended
2009 with more than 90 families consisting of more than 130 children.Currently we have more than 115 families and
180 children attending our Scout Hall Venue plus an additional 9 families
attending our Beales Road
venue.
Playgroup is about meeting people, sharing
experiences, being a support to others and watching your children develop and
grow through play with others. We hope that Greenhills can provide all of this
and more. Each of our sessions is different for 2 main reasons; each session is
run by the mothers/careers that attend and each session's activities and
routine is based around the age group/s of the children that attend. Contact Us so that we can find the session
